I love the visuals and characters in this movie. As a child of asian immigrants (although I'm Vietnamese not Chinese) I thought it was nice to see some of my experience reflected on the screen. But my absolute favourite part of this movie was the insane cinematography and visual effects. It's just really cool to see what can be done by such a small team with a relatively small budget when there's actual passion and care put into a project.
I first watched this movie in film class. I probably wouldn't have watched it otherwise, but I'm glad I did. It's a lovely story with a lovely cast of characters. Until watching this movie I didn't realize Timothee Chalamet was an actual actor but now whenever the hill scene comes up I start reciting his speech word for word.
Literally what's not to love about this movie. It takes what ITSV did well and cranked it up to 11. Everything from the animation to the music, and characters were heavily improved from what I thought to be the perfect Spider-Man movie. Seeing this movie in theatres with all my friends was an incredible experience that I would give the world up to re-live.
I'm putting these together because my points about them are basically the same. Both very fun movies with silly little events and cool action. My only critique about this movie is that they're british but to each their own I suppose.
